Resilience is many things: facing a challenge; reflecting, re-imagining, renewing thoughts; standing up, dusting off, asking what can I learn and how can I apply it? This thinking highlights the qualities of Resilience.

- Chaos
- Confusion
- Doubt
- Uncertainty
- Insecurity
- Ambiguity
- Turmoil
Resilience Doesn’t feel like these things at all!
Qualities of Resilience
The Rockefeller Foundation defined 9 qualities of resilience. They are:
● Reflective ● Robust ● Redundancy ● Flexible ● Resourceful ● Inclusive ● Integrated, these are the resilience qualities defined by the Rockefeller Foundation as General Qualities.
And there are two important, specific leadership qualities too: ● Wholistic, Cross Sectoral Leadership Vision and ● Leadership Coordination.
What You Need
You can use these qualities to create a framework which will help you map resilience and your organisational readiness to measure and track it. In our next article we will share how you can do that.
