What is Resilience Readiness – What are its Qualities

Resilience is many things: facing a challenge; reflecting, re-imagining, renewing thoughts; standing up, dusting off, asking what can I learn and how can I apply it? This thinking highlights the qualities of Resilience.

We will look at the qualities of Resilience later in this article Resilience?

We feel the absence of resilience when we experience these things:

  • Chaos
  • Confusion
  • Doubt
  • Uncertainty
  • Insecurity
  • Ambiguity
  • Turmoil

Resilience Doesn’t feel like these things at all!

Qualities of Resilience

The Rockefeller Foundation defined 9 qualities of resilience. They are:

● Reflective ● Robust ● Redundancy ● Flexible ● Resourceful ● Inclusive ● Integrated, these are the resilience qualities defined by the Rockefeller Foundation as General Qualities.

And there are two important, specific leadership qualities too: ● Wholistic, Cross Sectoral Leadership Vision and ● Leadership Coordination.
